The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and will close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home having a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined home revenue isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme 2025 nsfas application for the missing middle is open to all here South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
